  Diogenesister and loveuni- I see your points but I still believe you are crossing a line- or at least running extremely close, by more or less implying that child abuse took place.

  Lloyd Evans has criticised WT policies which cover up child sex abuse. He can't, or shouldn't, then go around seeing Thai prostitutes, many of whom could have been underage and/or forced into sex work.
  That's the issue.

  I have read other comments like this and I find them a bit strange. Thailand is a popular destination for us Aussies and most people I know have been there- Ive been there twice.

  A trip to Thailand does not automatically equate to days of sex filled debauchery. Most people go with their families and stay at resorts, eat thai food and have a normal holiday like they would anywhere else.

  Yes , I know Thailand has a reputation for sex but tragically there are stories of trafficked prostitutes in every country- its a worldwide problem.

  You are accusing someone of an alleged crime simply because they happen to be in a certain country.

  Loveuni- have you been to Thailand?

  here in 2022 if anyone says anything against the vaccines even a little bit you are almost apostate.. someone once mentioned all vaccinated sports stars collapsing and someone else said not to speak badly about the gb or by extension jehovah.. the gb can’t get out of this one, it’s gone too far.

  it’s now the case that if you speak against the vaccines you are speaking against the gb and by extension jehovah .

  Do you personally know anyone that has collapsed and died while playing sport? I do, and it happened years and years before covid.

  Its been happening for as long as people have been playing sport.

  I think my question is a fair one though. Everytime I log in the post is first page. At what point do we move past it?

  Edited to add: Im not taking sides, Im sure he has genuinely crossed some people, Im just asking the question based on what I see as an average punter who has been on this site for years..

  My perspective: Im a neutral observer. I dont know Lloyd Evans, Im not an active member of any ex-jw group (except this one I guess). I watch a lot of different ex-JW's on youtube and L.E happens to be one of them.

  I dont care what he does in his private life- I dont care to know- I simply watch for the latest info on what is happening in JW land.

  There are people in my life that have caused me personal grief, just like everyone else. I rarely - if ever think about those people, I dont sit up at night obsessing over them or what they do, which leads me to the question, why do some of you guys care so much?

  Do you set your alarms to make sure someone bumps the thread everyday? What exactly are you trying to achieve?

  If L.E. had slept with your partner, maybe I would understand- to a point, but really, months of bumping- thousands of replies?

  The whole thing seems a bit pathetic and smells like professional jealousy.

  Here we go again- more baseless claims about people 'suddenly' dying.

  Heres an idea: Do some research that goes beyond the first opinion you come across.
  

  People have been dying forever while playing sports- It happens regularly and it is nothing new. Amateur, college, kids or professional. All ages.

  Usually heatstroke, undiagnosed heart disorders or obesity are the main causes. Read some articles from before covid was around.

  If the covid vaccine was the deadly killer that the tin-foil hat gang say it is, we would literally be seeing people all around us dropping dead in the streets. It just isnt happening.

  Now that some time has passed, there is more clarity about vaccines. It's pretty obvious that vaccines have worked.

  But it has nothing to do with the wt.

  What is more surprising is that some people are still anti vax after all this time.

  Even on this forum there were predictions that most of us would be dead by now because of the vaccine.

  Ffs, the first time in history there was a vaccine available against a pandemic and some people still weren't happy because they weren't the centre of attention.

  So what did they do? They pretended that sitting in front of a screen while googling covid and scratching their balls gave them more authority about the subject than trained experts.
